Proposal Prep Session 2: Making Your Case

  • Core Investments Santa Cruz County, CA (map)

Presenters: Nicole Lezin and Nicole Young (consultants to CORE)

Interpreter: Stella Lauerman

Bilingual meeting support: Gisella Carrasco

Language: English, with simultaneous Spanish interpretation

In this second session of a spring grant-writing series, we’ll review some specific tools that help place your proposed projects in a broader context, such as a Theory of Change and Logic Model. While these are not always required as part of a proposal submission, they can be really helpful in articulating what you want to do and why—both internally and externally.

We’ll also review some other tips, resources, and best practices for making the best case for your work, such as the concept of framing, how to match data and stories, and tailoring your content for specific RFP requirements.
