Dive deep into the power of data to drive a racially and socially just transition. This training equips you with tools to conduct values-based data analysis in partnership with those who experience first-hand the impacts of racism and inequity. Join us to gain practical skills for analyzing data with a racial justice lens and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Understand and recognize the role that power plays in the production, interpretation, and communication of data, and the impact it has on racial equity in planning and policy decisions.
Critique the assumption that legitimate knowledge about communities only comes from formally educated researchers and not from community members and their day to day experiences.
Leave with frameworks and tools for partnering with community members to analyze and present data in ways that honor the expertise that everybody brings to the table and that is necessary to achieve equitable regional systems and processes.
